Cannot overly stress how important last night’s re-vote was. @SenateGOP shot down Democrat-led efforts under the War Powers Act to restrict President Trump’s ability to deal with the Iranian threat.
This vote sends a clear message to Iran that @POTUS is empowered to deal with the conflict as he sees fit with all options on the table.
Pray for peace.

Analysis Summary
Graham claims the Senate shot down war powers restrictions on Wednesday, but omits that 24 hours earlier the Senate had passed a bipartisan war powers resolution 50-48. Wednesday's 50-47 procedural vote failed only because two Republicans (Cassidy and Paul) flipped votes after Trump pressure and White House briefings. Graham presents the tactical reversal as the story while erasing the preceding day's successful bipartisan rebuke of Trump's Iran authority.

“last night's re-vote”
This was not a 're-vote' of Tuesday's measure. Tuesday the Senate passed 50-48. Wednesday was a procedural vote on a different Kaine resolution.
“@SenateGOP shot down Democrat-led efforts under the War Powers Act to restrict President Trump's ability to deal with the Iranian threat”
True for Wednesday's vote (50-47 failed), but omits that Tuesday Democrats SUCCESSFULLY passed their resolution 50-48. Graham frames one procedural loss as the story while erasing the preceding day's Democratic victory.
“This vote sends a clear message to Iran that @POTUS is empowered to deal with the conflict as he sees fit with all options on the table”
The Wednesday procedural vote did favor Trump tactically. However, Tuesday's passage of the concurrent resolution is the more recent substantive legislative action. Graham presents Wednesday's procedural win as the definitive message while ignoring Tuesday's bipartisan rebuke.
