I’m getting a little tired of seeing the GOP only blame the Democrats.
When do we blame the failure of the incompetent people who run the National Counterterrorism Center under this admin for not doing anything to break up Leftist domestic terror networks?
They are in charge. What is their excuse?
That was @joekent16jan19 Joe Kent’s job the last 15 months.

Analysis Summary
Joe Kent led the National Counterterrorism Center for about 8 months (July 2025–March 2026), not 15 months as this post suggests. More importantly, the NCTC is legally barred from taking primary action on domestic terrorism — that's the FBI's responsibility. The post misrepresents Kent's role and agency mandate to blame him for not disrupting what it calls leftist terror networks, which falls outside NCTC's legal authority. The framing ignores that the Trump administration has created separate FBI-led units under NSPM-7 specifically for domestic counterterrorism operations.
Claims Analysis (3)
“That was @joekent16jan19 Joe Kent's job the last 15 months”
Kent served July 2025–March 2026 (~8 months), not 15. Post written 2 months after his resignation.
“The incompetent people who run the National Counterterrorism Center…not doing anything to break up Leftist domestic terror networks”
NCTC legally excluded from domestic terrorism authority per 50 USC 3056. FBI leads domestic counterterrorism. Misrepresents NCTC mandate.

Rhetorical opinion claim without specific factual assertion. Not independently verifiable.
