South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster appointed Darline Graham Nordone, the sister of late Sen. Lindsey Graham, to fill the remainder of his Senate term following his death on July 12. She has no previous political experience but worked in disability services and is expected to be sworn in July 15. A special primary election will determine Graham's permanent successor on the November ballot.
