Before we take at face value much of the commentary this weekend on the continuing political ascendance of the Facist Frog & ReformUK Ltd, its worth just putting their vote in the local elections in some context.
As many have noted even with their success ReformUK Ltd still on control a very small proportion of *all* local councils, but its also worth noting than less than 10% of eligible voters cast a vote from the Frog & his associates.

Analysis Summary
Reform UK surged in May 2026 local elections in England, but the post correctly notes they control only a small share of overall councils despite headline-grabbing gains. The specific claim that less than 10% of eligible voters backed them cannot be independently verified from available sources β that's a calculation worth checking against official turnout data, but the core insight (electoral impact is smaller when measured against the full eligible electorate rather than vote share) is accurate and worth the broader media context.
